From Doubt to Confidence: How Delium Saw Beyond My Resume

Hi, I’m Manikandan, currently interning as a Product Specialist at Delium Technologies. And yes, I got hired without ever handing in my resume.

No, I didn’t forget it—I had it printed, neatly prepared, ready to present. But here’s the twist: the interviewers never asked for it.

A Hiring Process Unlike Any Other

I’ve been in placement halls before—rooms filled with tense faces, high stakes, and formulaic questions. But Delium? It felt different from the moment I walked in.

The process wasn’t about ticking the right boxes or reciting memorized answers. Instead, the interviewers were curious about what I thought. Even when I didn’t know something, they appreciated my approach to solving the problem rather than just the final answer.
That changed everything.

More Than Just Qualifications—It Was About Ideas

When I applied, I wasn’t sure I’d make the cut. I doubted myself even as I walked in for the drive. But during the interview, something shifted.

It wasn’t about what was on my resume—it was about my ideas, my curiosity, and whether I could fit into a team that valued thinking over templates.

By the time I stepped out, I knew I wanted to be part of this team.

The Impact This Had on Me

This experience had a significant effect on me. It may sound unusual to those outside the process, but attending a one-on-one interview instilled a unique sense of motivation. Unlike simply listing skills on a resume, the interview required me to demonstrate my abilities in real time.

The need to prove my competence rather than just explain it made me more engaged and driven toward securing the job.

The preliminary rounds were structured to assess a candidate's ability to perform the tasks they would be expected to handle in the organization if selected. Each round was designed to mirror the actual work involved in the specific role, making the process not just a test of knowledge but also an insightful preview of the job itself.

Where Growth Begins

A few days later, I got the email: I was hired. And it felt like the start of something truly exciting.

Now, as an intern at Delium, I’m not just working on a product—I’m learning, growing, and being challenged every day. I’m surrounded by people who push me to think differently, ask the right questions, and find solutions that go beyond conventional answers.

This experience reshaped my perspective on hiring. It proved that when a company genuinely values potential over paper qualifications, they uncover talent in the most unexpected ways. Delium saw something in me beyond my resume—and that belief has fueled my confidence in ways I never imagined.

A Resume Doesn’t Define You—Your Passion Does

Looking back, I realize that my resume wasn’t ignored because it wasn’t important—it simply wasn’t the deciding factor. My skills, my thought process, and my willingness to learn mattered more.

For anyone preparing for interviews, my advice is simple: Focus on what you can bring to the table beyond just a list of credentials. Companies like Delium recognize passion, curiosity, and adaptability over mere bullet points on a CV.
Because here at Delium, a neat A4 sheet belongs in printers—not in interviews to measure a person’s skills and potential.
